HELP!

We’ve had a tremendous response to our Books for Prisons project.  Thank you to all who have been donating books.  The only problem is -- we’ve been inundated with books that are in unwieldy boxes or overloaded bags. Please continue your donations!  But we ask that you leave them only in paper bags (with handles) that are not filled to the brim.  Questions:  Call Susan Paulus @ 925-838-0899 or email This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it .

1988-2008 If you would like to contribute toward the expenses for the celebration of Steven’s 20th anniversary at St. Timothy’s, we are still gladly accepting donations. Just be sure to write “Steven’s anniversary” in the memo line of your check.

LOAVES & FISHES NEEDS DRIVERS For 20th, and June 17th.Loaves and Fishes no longer has a home at St. Michaels and All Angels in Concord. For the next two months we will be making sandwiches and delivering bag lunches to individuals and to the shelter in Concord. In July, we will be serving from the Concord Shelter off of Route 4. There is no kitchen or clean-up facility.Loaves and Fishes is in desperate need of a home to serve the hungry in the Concord area.  There are 5 mapped routes for delivery to43 people at 32 residences who requested bag lunches. We need 5 drivers with cars, and a companion navigator for each driver. So far we have 3 drivers. Loaves and Fishes will be giving out gas cards to cover the cost of gas.We would start delivering bag lunches at about 11 a.m., and it would probably take about 1 1/2 hours per route. Please call Leslie Firth 314-3044, or Pat Lucht 820-9289 to let us know if you can help us out with this short term commitment.

Put on your walking shoes   2008 Breast Cancer 3-day Team St. Timothy’s Did you know that a woman is diagnosed with breast cancer every three minutes, and one woman will die of the disease every 13 minutes in the United States?  My own family has been touched by this disease, and many families at St. Timothy’s have also been affected.  If you have ever wanted to do anything about it, now is your chance!  You can join me and Team St. Timothy’s on the Breast Cancer 3-Day 60 Mile Walk in the San Francisco Bay Area September 5-7. We will spend three days and 60 miles raising money, awareness and, more importantly, hope that there will be a time when breast cancer is no more.  And we will have a lot of fun together in the process. If you are interested in joining Team St. Timothy’s, or would like more information, you can contact Kathy Trapani at (925) 837-4993 ext. 13 or visit www.the3Day.org.  Participants commit to raising $2,200 and there is a registration fee of $90.00 (if the reg fee presents a financial hardship, please let me know).

Of course, if you prefer not to walk but would like to contribute to the cause, you may also visit the website and make a donation.  To do so, click on banner above

Thank you for joining me in the fight for a cure!   Kathy
