At St. Timothy’s, we have an annual tradition of working with others in the parish to help make the holiday season a little brighter for the clients of Monument Crisis Center (MCC) in Concord. Each year since 2011, we have filled boxes with food using a list from MCC and brought those boxes to Concord for MCC to give to their clients. The boxes are distributed to MCC clients in the weeks before Christmas and help the client families worry a little less about putting food on the table and celebrate the holiday season more.
WE NEED YOUR HELP TO DO THIS! HERE ARE YOUR OPTIONS:
You can pay for your box(es) by cash or check or Venmo.
You can bring a check or cash to church or send a check in the mail to the office.
Please put “Food Box” on the check memo line.

EVENT – RICE AND BEANS – SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 10
If you had a wonderful time at the Rise Against Hunger event or you missed out on the fun, we have an easy opportunity for you (and your kids) to help with Christmas Food Boxes. Over 10 years ago, Lori Robinson suggested a terrific way for kids to help with Christmas Food Boxes, and we still do it today! We buy sacks of rice and beans and gather to fill quart zip lock bags which are added to each Christmas Food Box that St. Timothy’s fills.
There will be tables with bags and bowls of rice and beans in the Parish Hall on Sunday, November 10. Come scoop and fill for 10 minutes or an hour. Bring your kids! Everyone can help.
There’s no need to sign up – just show up and scoop.

Participants need to be over the age of 12 and able to stand for about 2 hours.
