Brightening the Holidays for Monument Crisis Center Clients
This Christmas, members of the St. Timothy's parish and
families from Noah's Ark Preschool actively participated in the Monument Crisis
Center (MCC) Holiday Food Box drive.
Together we filled 175 boxes for MCC clients. In addition to the standard list of items
from MCC, we added bags of rice and beans to our boxes. The attendees at the November Sunday 4:00 pm
service had a blast filling the bags and then feasting on pizza after the
evening service. Another group of
volunteers gathered in the St. Timothy's Parish Hall on the first Saturday in
December and filled over 100 boxes with food that had been paid for by parish
members and delivered to the church by the Safeway store in Alamo. Be sure to tell them thank you when you shop
there. The picture at the top of this
page shows these volunteers hard at work.

Thank you to everyone who helped with this project - particularly the Sunday volunteers who helped people sign up and answered lots of questions, the volunteers who packed boxes and loaded the truck, the angel who rented the truck for us and everyone else who contributed, shopped, packed and helped deliver the boxes.
