​What is Rise Against Hunger?
Rise Against Hunger is an international hunger relief agency that has been working to end hunger since 1998.  Their mission is to provide food and aid to people in need around the world and respond to disasters.  One of the ways that RAH works to achieve its mission is by working with volunteers to stage meal packaging events.

The Meal Packaging Program is an assembly-line process where volunteers combine rice, soy, dehydrated vegetables and vitamins to create fortified shelf-stable meals.
How Does a Packaging Event Work?
Rise Against Hunger brings all of the supplies and equipment,  We recruit volunteer workers and donations for the supplies.  Each volunteer can pack 200 meals, or approximately $75 worth of supplies in 2 hours.  We encourage everyone to participate and donate what you can towards the cost of the meals. Donations are not required to participate.  We have jobs for everyone – sitting and standing.  Children under 13 must have adult supervision
